Dont Get Scammed
The original purpose of this site (over a decade ago) was to simply list sites that were "safe", or didn't rip you off. Over the years, we've seen some pretty bad scams and rip-offs, but let us assure you, every site listed here is completely legitimate and run in a professional manner. That still is the sole purpose of XXXSitesReviewed.org! You may be wondering, "What are some of the problems (scams) I could run into if I joined an adult site of lesser quality?" Here's just a few we've seen over the years...
Bait and switch: You were promised a Ferrarri, but you got a Hyundai. It still happens nowadays. You think you are getting 1 million pictures and 10,000 DVD quality movies, but what you really get are shoddy images and short 30 second video clips. How can you avoid this pitfall? Choosing a site listed here is a good start.
Email spam from hell: You probably get a lot of email porn spam as it is. But to what degree? Some lesser sites sell your email address to other sites. And those sites sell it to other sites and so on. You think getting 50 Viagra emails a day is bad? Try getting 5,000 (note: it takes a spam-filter about 45 minutes to filter 5,000 spam emails). You won't get that treatment from any site listed here.
We won't let you go: A truly evil tactic that thankfully isn't too common today, but back in the 90's it was prevalent. There are some blatant scam sites out there, that literally won't let you cancel your membership. The website contains no link to cancel, and if you search long enough, you may be lucky to find a customer service number to call. Except it's overseas in some obscure foreign country. And you are on hold for 2 hours. And the person on the other end doesn't speak English. Get the picture? It's rare nowadays but we still get an occasional email about it happening. Once again to re-iterate, you won't have that problem here, these are professional sites that are ran like a business, that want to keep you as a member by providing quality porn, not scams.
These are just a few that we ran into, and over the years reports of these scams are decreasing. However, there still are some scam artists out there waiting to take your money. In all honesty, how many of you are going to call your lawyer over $30?
